Wasteland 2, I've found, is filled with "fuck you, you can't win because I say so" writing, starting with the choice between saving Highpool and the Ag Center. This is fine in Wasteland 3, because there's only one Ranger squad (with only one car) in Colorado, and having to choose between pleasing the Patriarch/saving the caravan and revenge on the Dorseys/saving an innocent family is a good choice. I prefer Wasteland 3 because it doesn't have nearly as many "fuck you" moments as Wasteland 2.įor instance: both 2 and 3 have a scenario at the beginning where there are 2 distress calls, and you can only respond 2 one, and people chew you out for the one you didn't go to.
